Come fight back with us at HANDS OFF! MAINE FIGHTS BACK! in Augusta, at the Maine State House from 12 - 2 PM on April 5th, 2025 in a show of national protest! We will be coordinating with groups all across Maine to show up and take a stand for democracy and against authoritarianism!

About the event
On April 5th, at the statehouse in Augusta, we will have programming planned from 12:00-1:00. At 1:00, we will leave the capitol ground and march throughout Augusta to make ourselves visible and make our voices heard.
We will be also be collaborating with Juneteenth Downeast to collect first aid supplies to assemble wound care kits that will then be distributed to the immigrant community.
Right now folks are afraid to leave their homes to go to the hospital or to the store to get basic first aid supplies for fear of being detained, so we want to help make sure they have what they need. If we are hugely successful in our collection, some of these supplies will also go to organizations supporting the unhoused community.
Below is a list of specific items we are looking for:
-Boxes of gauze pads (2x2, 3x3, 4x4)
-Antiseptic or Alcohol Wipes
